Come Closer

Description

I spotted two of my foxes on this day - I believe this is the mother. They didn't look over until I snapped a shot. The little one ran a little closer to me, then ran off after a few seconds; the adult also came closer, filled my frame and curiously investigated before she followed.

Not much cropping had to be done for this shot, unlike the others. All I need is some good light and I think I could do better, but it's difficult to do so in these woods. I realize though that my younger foxes will soon be off on their own.

The story: I have a family of foxes that live in the woods behind my house. Their dens are on the trail that start in my backyard. I see at least one of the foxes every time I go into the woods and also often see them in my backyard.

wow, I can't believe this was shot in a photograph so perfectly! His stance, his facial expression, the background, Everything about this picture just stands out and makes it even more fantastic. I love how the greens in the background make the Red in the foxes pelt look even more brilliant and how the blurryness behind him makes him look more focused! However, regardless that it makes him look more focused, it almost gives the background a watery look, like it was added in. I'm not sure if that is something that's able to be adjusted with your camera, but Maybe a little less blurr in the background? Otherwise, I absolutely LOVE this picture, it's absolutely fantastic! Another amazing pinpoint i'd like to say is that I find the grass infront of the fox is a very nice touch. How its just blurred enough, so the eye doesnt gravitate towards it, but it's there enough to give the picture a little more of a foresty element : ) again, fantastic shot!
